St. Laurence's Church of England

Historically, St Laurence’s Primary School used to close at 3:30. This was an unusually long school day far a primary school at the time and there weren’t many schools in Shropshire, or indeed nationally, that closed as late as this. Following the pandemic we decided to shorten the day and close at 3:15pm, therefore giving more time to enrichment activities and after school clubs.

However the Department of Education has now indicated that we have to lengthen the school day once more., so from the beginning of next term, we shall be finishing at 3:25pm (as we do start earlier than before).

Therefore the school gates will not be open until 3:20pm.
