SEN Teaching Assistant

Weeks per year: 43.21

Pattern of work: Monday - Friday. Term time plus 2 PD days

Post grade: 5 Spinal points 14 to 17

Grade Range: £9.16 -9.67 per hour

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring SEN teaching assistant, who will be supporting a Year 4 pupil with SEN needs with specific learning difficulties and possible ADHD. A knowledge of a range of strategies to support this child would be desirable.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be qualified to at least NVQ level 2.

Pattern of work: Monday - Friday. Term time plus 2 PD days

Post grade: To be confirmed at interview

We are seeking to employ a person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who has the ability and flexibility to undertake this role. The role will involve providing cover for teachers during PPA and class teacher management time.

The role will require you to work in partnership with classroom teachers to plan, prepare and deliver lessons as well as monitoring and assessing pupils through marking and feedback, recording and reporting on pupil's achievement, progress and development. Also support and develop learning opportunities and interventions across EYFS.

The successful candidate must be either qualified as a HLTA or have a willingness to undergo training. The hourly rate will reflect the candidates qualifications.
